Sneaker Beginnings
$250,000+ in sneaker sales. 30,000 Members in SplashStation a sneaker software rental server. Ran a sneaker store in Singapore, Bought Sneakers from the US and sold it to China.
The Lessons
Sneaker Reselling set the groundwork for much of what I do today. Trial by fire.
How could a boy from Singapore buy shoes from the United States.
But he could.
Through my journey, I picked up skills like:
- Community Building
- International Trade and Business
- Social Media Marketing
The Story
Safe to say, sneaker reselling was like a game where I aimed for 100% Quest Completion.
I had tried out every avenue of revenue generation in the industry, bought and sold shoes across 5 countries, had massive hauls worth hundreds of thousands.
But it was not always this way.
I was once a 13 Year Old boy looking at my phone wondering how I'd afford a pair for myself,
I started out by reselling second-hand products off Carousell ( Basically Asian Criagslist )
I eventually picked up sneaker reselling softwares,
And met amazing team members in the US, UK & Singapore.
Slowly but surely, we cracked the code.
What systems worked.
How we could beat out 10,000 others vying for the same pair we did.
A good week meant 100 pairs from the US & 100s more in Singapore.
We monopolised stock.
Admittedly, it was like on Cloud Nine.
Until it all came down.
The markets were crashing,
Our systems were failing.
But for the locals, peace was being restored
They could have their favourite Jordan again.
